Online doesn't mean on your own
GOVS is a virtual school, but it isn't a lonely one. There's a real place to go, a real team around you, and real ways to belong - from drop-in days at the Student Center to eSports, music, and events throughout the year. Here's the in-person side of GOVS.

The Student Center is a real place to show up
At the heart of student life is the GOVS Student Center in Franklin - a real building where students come to work, get help, and connect face to face.
Drop in to do your coursework in a quiet classroom or alongside classmates, meet with your academic coach, get free tutoring, talk with counselors and resource coordinators, or join a school event. Time you spend there even counts toward your weekly attendance hours.
Open during school days from 9am-3pm, no appointment needed. For students who want the structure and connection of a place to go, this is it.
Join a real GOVS eSports team
School spirit isn't just for traditional schools. GOVS has its own eSports team, where students compete, connect, and represent their school - all the camaraderie of a team, built for the way our students learn.
For a lot of students, it's a way back into the social side of school they'd been missing.

Students Leading Through Service
Students at GOVS have opportunities to give back to their communities through meaningful service activities.
Community service allows students to support local organizations, connect with others, and make a positive difference while developing valuable leadership and teamwork skills.

Play in a free, one-of-a-kind steel band
Few schools can say they have one - GOVS does. The Steel Band Ensemble is a unique program open to GOVS students, with instruments and participation provided free.
No prior experience required. It's a chance to make music, be part of something, and try something you won't find just anywhere.
