College Credit Plus

College Credit Plus (CCP) is an Ohio program that lets eligible students earn college credit while they're still in high school - at no cost to your family. Here's how it works at GOVS and how to take part.

Earn college and high school credit at the same time

Through CCP, qualifying GOVS students take real college courses and earn credit that counts toward both high school graduation and a future college transcript. It's a genuine head start - you finish high school already carrying college credit.

And because it's a state program, eligible students participate tuition-free.

See whether you're eligible to participate

CCP is open to eligible Ohio students who meet the program's academic readiness requirements. Eligibility and course placement depend on the standards set by the state and the participating college.

Not sure whether you qualify? Your GOVS counselor can walk you through the requirements and help you figure out if CCP is a fit for your goals.

Take the steps to enroll in CCP

Getting started with CCP involves a few required steps, including attending an annual information session and submitting an intent-to-participate form by the state's deadline.

GOVS provides the forms you need and your counselor helps you through the process from there.

Plan your CCP path with your counselor

Because CCP affects your schedule, your credits, and your deadlines, it's worth planning carefully. Your GOVS counselor can help you weigh your options, choose courses, and stay on track for both your diploma and your college goals.
