Juniors take the ACT as part of state testing

GOVS students take the ACT in 11th grade as part of Ohio's required testing. Like other state tests, it's taken in person at a secure, proctored site - including the GOVS Student Center in Franklin.

You'll be notified well ahead of time about your test date, with full instructions on how and where to sign up.

Use your ACT score for college and scholarships

The ACT is more than a requirement to check off. Your score can open doors - it's used in college admissions and factors into many scholarship opportunities.

Taking it seriously now can pay off later, which is why it's worth preparing rather than walking in cold.

Get ready with ACT prep resources

You don't have to prepare alone. GOVS points students to prep resources and practice materials to help you get comfortable with the test's format and content before test day.

For more general test preparation, our test prep page pulls together additional review tools.

Get support from your counselor and coach

If you have questions about the ACT - when you'll take it, how to prepare, or how your score fits into your college plans - your counselor and academic coach are here to help.
