This is my 24th year in education and my 6th year as the Executive Director of the Greater Ohio Virtual School. I began my career in the Huber Heights City School District in Dayton, Ohio, where I served as Assistant High School Band Director. I then spent seven years as Director of Bands at Wayne Local Schools in Waynesville, Ohio, followed by three years as Waynesville Middle School Principal. I recently completed seven years as the Director of Bands in the Madison Local School district in Middletown, Ohio.
I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and later graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. I currently live in Kings Mills, Ohio with my wife Leslie, daughters Zoe and Eden, and son Beck.

Joanna Manchak has been a school counselor at GOVS for 5 years. Before that, she has been a counselor at Fairfield Intermediate and Hillcrest Academy. She has her Master’s degree from Xavier University.
Before counseling, Joanna was a graphic designer with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati’s Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) Program. She lives in the West Chester/Liberty Twp area with husband, two children and two dogs. She enjoys coaching and playing sports.

Since 2017 I had the great opportunity to work with GOVS students who speak other languages but also are learning English. I strongly believe in the effectiveness of the ESL Program because it was the support that made a great impact and benefit my family when we arrived in US. Occupying this position is not my job, but definitely my passion.

Emily Seevers is excited for another year as an academic coach at GOVS and looks forward to providing the support that students need to be successful.
She graduated from Anderson University in Indiana with a degree in Social Studies Education and has worked as a high school history teacher, track and cross country coach, and residence hall director.
She enjoys baking, watching her kids play sports and taking walks with her mini-schnauzer pup, Archie. Mrs. Seevers is excited to get to know the students and families at GOVS and help make this a great year.
