Kelsey Baker-Straus - kelsey.bakerstraus@mygovs.com
This is my fourth year as an Academic Coach. I came to GOVS after working in Wraparound for Montgomery County. Prior to that, I graduated Cum Laude from Cal State Dominguez Hills with a BA in Sociology. As an Academic Coach, I feel it is crucial to break down barriers and identify strengths when trying to formulate a plan for every student to be successful at GOVS, and beyond.
Fun fact: I am originally from Redondo Beach, CA, and have two pups named DIXON (california husky) and MITZI (ohio mutt rescue).

She enjoys baking, watching her kids play sports and taking walks with her mini-schnauzer pup, Archie. Mrs. Seevers is excited to get to know the students and families at GOVS and help make this a great year.
Vanessa Srikantham - Vanessa.srikantham@mygovs.com
Hi, I’m Vanessa Srikantham, and I’m excited to join the team as an academic coach! I look forward to helping students stay motivated and on track to meet their goals. Before transitioning into education, I worked as a newspaper copy editor and page designer, including as part of a team that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. I later moved into travel marketing before taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom. In recent years, I’ve focused on substitute teaching — I'm certified in most districts across Butler and Warren counties — and supporting our local schools as a dedicated volunteer and PTO board member. My husband, who is from India, and I have been married for 12 years. We live in Morrow with our 9-year-old daughter, who’s heading into fourth grade. I enjoy reading, playing board games, and traveling, and I’m a passionate advocate for public education.
