State legislation allows virtual school students the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities in their districts of residence. GOVS students must meet the same academic and financial requirements as any other student participating in the activity, but have the ability to play the sport of their choice through high school and into college. This opens the door for scholarship opportunities at Division I and II schools! Talk to a school counselor for more information.
