Counselor's Corner

Last Updated: 9/20/2021 4:13 PM

Welcome to the Counselor’s Corner at Greater Ohio Virtual School!  Our goal is to help each of our students reach his or her full potential by addressing academic, career, and personal/social needs.  No child should “fall through the cracks.”  We offer a variety of school counseling services to meet our goal, including one-on-one meetings, small counseling groups on specific topics, and large group interventions.  As a virtual school, we champion the use of technology to reach our students and their families.  Though highly accessible in person, by phone, and through email, we also have the ability to provide support via the GOVS Virtual Learning Academy (VLA) and through video chat platforms.  Junior high and high school can be a difficult time for young people while they gain both independence and responsibility.  We are here to serve as guides, helping students to navigate as they determine what pathway might lead them toward their future.  Obstacles will inevitably arise and we hope to work together to overcome what might stand in the way of their success.
