Testing Information

Welcome to the GOVS Testing Information page!

You will find everything you need to know about testing on this page.

What tests are you taking?
To see your individual Test Schedule, CLICK HERE.  You can then enter your 4-digit student ID number in the box.  The website will tell you what test(s) you have to take.  If you do not know your ID number, you can find it on two different places:  it's on your Student ID card that you were given at orientation, and it's on the most recent Performance Report that was sent out.

Spring End-of-Course Testing Dates
The state of Ohio requires all students to take end-of-course (EOC) tests every spring.  7th graders test in English and Math.  8th graders test in English, math, and science.

If you are in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, you have seven EOC tests in order to meet requirements for a high school diploma.  In order to graduate, you need to accumulate 18 testing "points" on these tests.  You can take the tests multiple times.  The seven tests are:

  • English/Language Arts I
  • English/Language Arts II
  • Algebra I (or Integrated Math I)
  • Geometry (or Integrated Math II)
  • Biology
  • US History
  • Government

Juniors & Seniors can retake tests in the fall.  All students grades 7-12 test in the spring.

To see the Spring 2019 Testing Schedule (dates, times, and locations), visit the Google form at this link:  SPRING EOC TESTING.  You are able to sign-up for a test session and reserve your spot -- however, you can simply attend any session and be able to take your test(s).  One test per session.  Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the session begins for registration.  Please bring your GOVS ID to testing!

Reviewing for Testing
If you couldn't make EOC Bootcamp (or would like the answers to the review materials), the magic link below will take you to a Google Drive folder that has EVERYTHING you should need.  Once you click on the link, it will bring up a page that looks like this:

The 4 "buttons" up top are the 4 subject areas for EOC testing.  There are practice tests & review problems in all those folders.  Go into whichever one you need, then go into the specific subject you need.  You can click on each file individually, but make sure you hit the download button D  in the top right corner to download a copy to your own computer.
