Executive Director's Message
On behalf of the Greater Ohio Virtual School, I would like to welcome the students and parents to GOVS. GOVS is an innovative school that is a cooperative effort with the Ohio Department of Education and the Warren County Educational Service Center. GOVS uses technology to reach a diverse student population. The school is designed for students in grades 7–12 who have a desire for, and whose education can be optimized by, a program of online instruction in an independent environment that does not include most ancillary components of a more traditional education. Because the focus is on distance learning, the ability of students to learn independently in their own homes using an online educational program is an essential element of the school’s program.

Student Center Director's Message
The GOVS Student Center is a privilege and resource for students. The intent of the facility is to provide students with a place to:
- Work on VLA lessons in a quiet classroom or with classmates in the student lounge
- Meet with academic coaches
- Utilize tutoring services
- Talk with counselors and resource coordinators
- Attend special school events and activities
GOVS students will earn offline hours towards their required weekly attendance while signed in at the Student Center. Students may visit the Student Center from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm and are required to sign in and sign out in the front office.

Student Services Director's Message
As a public charter school, GOVS offers services comparable to what is available in a traditional public school setting.
What falls under Student Services?
The Student Services Department oversees special education programming, gifted education, mental health services, Section 504, resource coordination, and English Learners (EL). The Student Services tab provides additional information regarding the supports and services available to GOVS students and families.
