Who Can Enroll In Our School?
School aged students who live with their parents or legal guardians and reside in the State of Ohio will be eligible to attend the Greater Ohio Virtual School. Students wishing to attend must have completed the 8th grade or its equivalency. Students who desire to enroll in grade 12 and graduate from GOVS must be no older than 21 years of age at the time of enrollment.
Registration Information
As of May 18, 2011 we are accepting applications for new student enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year.
To begin the registration process for new students:
- Download and complete the student registration packet by clicking on the "Click Here to Apply Now" link below. If you are unable to access the registration packet electronically, please contact our central office staff for assistance.
- In addition to your completed registration packet, the following documents must be provided for enrollment in GOVS:
- Original Birth Certificate
- Child's Social Security Card (optional)
- Custody Papers/Court Ordered Placement (if applicable)
- Proof of Residency (Rent/Lease Agreement, Settlement Statement, Copy of Deed, Land/Purchase Contract)
- Custodial Parent/Legal Guardian's Driver License/State ID
- Student's Driver License
- Shot/Immunization Records
Also provide copies of the following:
- Grade cards to date or transcript (these will assist in placing your child in the appropriate courses required for graduation). Make sure to pay your fees at the school your child presently attends or they will not release your grades/transcripts.
- Special Education (IEP-Individualized Education Program), (ETR-Evaluation Team Report)
- 504 Educational Plan (if applicable)
